MIA (formerly known as the Minneapolis Institute of Arts) has two or three (four?) major exhibits a year. They bring in thousands of people to see the Terra Cotta Warriors, Impressionists, artifacts from the Hapsburg Empire and this winter, artifacts from the life of Martin Luther. Non-flash photography was allowed, in case you were going to chastise me. Here are just a few of the hundreds of year old carvings and paintings (many by Lucas Cranach the Elder and Younger) that will be on display through next week.
